Red bag of butterscotch shortbread crumbs

Butterscotch Crumbs

Dimensions: 6” x 3” x 10”

454g

When we cut our famous Butterscotch bars, there are many delicious crumbs left in the pan. Mary used to make the staff tasty pies and desserts using the excess, and decided to give customers the chance to find out what magic these crumbs can create. Turn your run-of-the-mill parfait into a decadent dessert with a few butterscotch crumbs on top, liven up your cheesecakes with our chewy butterscotch shortbread crumb crust or add a little extra sweetness to fruit crumbles with something new. Find our own recipes for the crumbs here or add them to your favourite homemade treats. You won't be sorry!

Can you make a GF version of this from your plain shortbread?

Your GF cookies are AMAZING, but given how fragile they are you must have crumbs kicking around :P I actually buy the boxes of GF cookies to make into crumbs for bar recipes and cheesecake bases. There is a hole in the market for a vanilla/butter flavoured GF crumbs product imo, for things like lemon bars and so on. Pie crust is very difficult to make GF (and passable as its gluten counterpart), so many people resort to crumb crusts, so the product would be perfect . :)

Amazing !!!

I love the Butterscotch Crumbs and they go well with apples. I used the crumbs to make an Apple cobbler. I am glad that they are available on the website not just at the One of a kind show.

Ingredients and Nutrition Information

Shelf Life

Our all-butter shortbread cookies are baked to last and can be enjoyed for a long time.   We recommend storing them in an airtight container and out of the light and at room temperature.

Shortbread doesn't like humidity. In the event the cookies get soft, you can pop them in a 300 F oven for 5 mins and they will be as if freshly baked.
