Can I request a specific shipping date or have my order ship beyond the standard processing time?
We understand that timing is important, especially during the holidays. However, at Mary Macleod's Shortbread, we currently process and ship all orders as soon as possible to ensure the freshest quality. This means we’re unable to hold orders for a future ship date or delay them beyond our standard processing time. We recommend placing your order when you're ready for it to be shipped.
Can I visit your location to shop or purchase products?
While we cherish the memories of our bakery days, we are no longer operating as a walk-in bakery. That said, we do offer an option for local customers to place orders online and pick them up at our facility. This allows you to enjoy our handcrafted shortbread without shipping costs. Be sure to select "pickup" at checkout and follow the provided instructions for a smooth experience.
I see bakery images when I search for Mary Macleod's Shortbread on Google. Why is that?
Some images that appear online, including on Google, are user-generated and may date back to when we operated as a full bakery. These images remain on the web because they are publicly contributed, and unfortunately, we don’t have control over removing them. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to visit our website for the most current and accurate information about our offerings.
Do on-site pickup dates change during the holiday period?
Yes, due to the increased demand during the holiday season, our on-site pickup schedule is adjusted to ensure we can manage the high volume efficiently. In November and December, pickups are available on Thursdays and Fridays only. Once the holiday season concludes, we return to our regular Monday through Friday pickup schedule. We recommend planning ahead during these busy months to secure your preferred pickup time.
Can discount codes be combined?
Only STM codes can be combined with each other to maximize your savings. However, STM codes cannot be combined with rewards codes or other promotional discounts. To get the best out of your shopping experience, we recommend reviewing your discount options and selecting the combination that works best for you.
What is the last date I can place my order for the holidays?
Please see below for the last date to place an order for arrival before Christmas (December 25th). Note, due to increased volumes at this time of year, couriers will not guarantee arrival before Christmas for orders placed in the last 7-10 days prior to Christmas. You may choose a quicker shipping method in the last 1-2 weeks prior to Christmas to ensure your package arrives on time.

Shipping Information

What is the order processing time?
Please note that it may take 2-3 days to process orders, before shipment. Additional time may be needed to bake out of stock items.
Warm weather shipments?
Yes, we can handle shipments to locations with warmer weather. For more information or advice on a shipment to your address, please contact us at info@marymacleod.com or call us at 416-461-4576.
Can I ship to multiple addresses?
At this time, we are only allowed to ship to 1 address per order. For multiple addresses or bulk shipping, please send us an email at info@marymacleod.com or call us at 416-461-4576.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is shipping out from our bakery, you'll receive an email confirmation with your shipment confirmation. This email will include a tracking number as well as a link to directly track/view your package.
I'm shipping to a country different than my own. Which currency is used?
When shipping to a different country, our website will automatically adjust to the currency of the destination country at checkout.

Please note that depending on your payment method or bank, you may see conversion fees or slight variations due to exchange rates. We recommend checking with your card provider for any additional charges before placing your order. If you have any concerns or questions about international payments, feel free to reach out to our team—we’re happy to help.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping charges are calculated during check-out and based on package weight and distance. Shipments in North America must be to physical addresses within Canada and the continental USA. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses. Additional charges may apply for International orders. Contact us for more information.

When specifying the delivery address, please make sure to include any apartment, suite, unit, or floor numbers that will be required for delivery. We ask for a phone number for each shipping address in case there is a problem delivering the order. If the address information that is provided is not valid, our courier may be unable to deliver your package. We will not refund product or shipping charges based on incorrect addresses. If you would like us to ship the product again to a different delivery address, you will be charged for the additional product and shipping charges.

Where are Mary Macleod's Shortbread cookies made?
Our legacy began back in 1981 when we opened up Canada's first-ever shortbread shop in Toronto, Canada. Toronto is still where we handcraft all of your favourite shortbread cookies today.
Are the chocolates and cocoa used in our cookies sustainable?
Yes, every purchase of Mary Macleod's Shortbread helps support the farmers in the cocoa growing regions.
How do I view your nutritional information?
All of our flavours and products have nutritional information and ingredients listed directly on the packaging and online. Please refer to the product page under Ingredients and Nutritional Information.

How do I create an account?

How does customization impact lead time?
Customization may extend processing times slightly, depending on the complexity of your request. Most custom orders require an additional 3–7 business days, however customization options such as engraved jars or custom printed cookie tins may require up to 4-6 weeks. We recommend placing orders well in advance to ensure timely delivery, particularly during peak seasons.
Can I add company branding, business cards, or promotional materials to my gifts?
Yes, we can incorporate your company’s branding elements, including business cards, custom-branded packaging, and promotional materials. Simply provide the items, and we will seamlessly integrate them into each gift package.
Can I include a personalized greeting message or notecard?
Certainly. We offer complimentary notecards where you may include a personalized message or a branded greeting. Simply provide us with your message, and we will ensure it is beautifully presented with your gift.
Are the gifts wrapped, and can they be made to look festive?
Each gift is meticulously packaged to exude sophistication, with seasonal and festive wrapping options available upon request. If you have a specific theme in mind, our team will craft a presentation that complements the occasion beautifully.
Can you delay shipping until closer to the holiday season if I order in advance?
Yes, we offer scheduled shipping so that you may place your order in advance with the assurance that it will arrive at the optimal time. Simply specify your preferred delivery date, and we will handle the logistics accordingly.
Do you ship to multiple addresses in one transaction?
Yes, we provide multi-address shipping to simplify bulk orders. Simply add your addresses to our distribution list template, let us know your preferred delivery date and we’ll handle the rest.
What if I don’t know all my recipients’ addresses?
Please provide the total quantities you would like to order, and send us the shipping addresses you have. For any missing addresses, we kindly ask that you provide them as soon as possible so we can ensure timely delivery.
Do you ship to PO Boxes?
As we primarily ship with UPS and FedEx, we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes. Please provide a physical address to ensure smooth delivery.
Can you deliver on a specific day or avoid weekends?
We strive to accommodate delivery preferences, including specific dates and avoiding weekend deliveries where possible. While exact timing depends on the carrier, we will work closely to align with your requirements.
Where do you ship? Do you deliver to the USA?
We ship domestically and to select international locations, including the USA. If you have specific shipping needs, please contact us for tailored solutions.
What items travel and pack well for shipping?
Our Corporate Gift Collection has been carefully curated and selected to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. Items such as our clear rounds, signature cookie tins, and other packaged boxes are excellent choices for shipping. Our team is available to recommend the best options for your needs.
Can I get the same website promotional pricing for my corporate order?

How do I pay for my order? What payment methods do you accept?

Is shipping free, and how much does it cost?

Can I pick up my order instead of shipping it?
Yes, local pickup is available at our location at 80 Galaxy Blvd, Unit #16, Toronto ON. You can coordinate with us directly for an in-store pickup.
How do I track my order? Will I receive an order confirmation?
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details as soon as it is left our bakery. You can monitor your shipment’s progress in real time.
How do I send you my list of clients and their addresses?
You may submit your recipient list via email. You will receive a distribution list template, in which you can proceed to fill out with your gift recipient address details. Our team will guide you through the process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
How long does it take to get engraved jars done?
Engraved jars typically require 2 weeks for completion. We recommend placing orders early, particularly during peak gifting seasons. If expedited service is needed, please contact us to explore available options.
